ABOUT US

We are an institute, based out of Wycliffe College at University of Toronto, committed to supporting those who serve and research the Canadian Church through data-informed research, tools, encounters, and insights.
Our data

We have one of the largest datasets on the Canadian Church spanning over 30 years of public and denominational data. This includes Canadian Census and T3010 datasets with over 900 million individual points of data.

We initiate and support meaningful church research

This includes our own research projects, our research partnerships, and independent research that we resource and amplify alongside our partners.

We facilitate coversation between church leaders and researchers

Often this means one-on-one chats, but we also host larger academic and denomination meetings and public-facing conferences like our annual Canadian Church Research Symposium.

We encourage practical learning

Our monthly bulletin features recent discoveries, explorable data visualizations, publications in academic and public-facing resources, and courses for scholars and practitioners.
